Whether you’re staying at A1 Hotel & Resort before heading out on safari, attending a conference, or just relaxing for the weekend, packing right makes all the difference. Here’s a quick, essential guide for what to bring when visiting Arusha, Tanzania.
1. Lightweight, Breathable Clothing
Arusha has a mild, pleasant climate most of the year. Bring cotton or linen clothes that are light and easy to layer — especially if you’re venturing into the parks or highlands nearby.
2. A Warm Jacket or Sweater
Early mornings and evenings can be cool, especially with Mount Meru’s elevation. Pack a light jacket, hoodie, or shawl — perfect for enjoying our outdoor lounges and cool nights.
3. Sun Protection
Even on cloudy days, UV can be strong. Don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses, a wide-brim hat, and lip balm with SPF — especially if you’re planning to explore Arusha’s surroundings.
4. Comfortable Shoes
From strolling around our gardens to shopping at the Maasai Market, good footwear matters. Lightweight sneakers or comfortable walking sandals are ideal.
5. Camera or Smartphone with Storage
Arusha is full of photo-worthy moments — sunrise on Mount Meru, vibrant local scenes, and the design of your suite at A1. Don’t forget a power bank or charger too!
6. Personal Items & Toiletries
We provide all the basics in your room, including a hair dryer and bathroom essentials. But if you have favorites (like special skincare or allergy-safe products), bring them along.
